CIVIL SERVICE

Infinite Love and With This Ring are happy to announce that it is now legal to have a Same Sex Ceremony here on the island of Love. The ceremony has no legal status however is a special ceremony for you both to show your love and commitment to each other, a celebration of your life together. 
Please find below the procedure, documents and legal requirements in order to get married in Cyprus. Please rest assured that whichever service you choose we will organise all the arrangements for you as part of our service.
It is highly recommended for same sex weddings to be in Cyprus for a minimum of three working days (not including weekends or Cyprus public bank holidays and the day of arrival)

Paperwork Required:

Valid 10 year Passports (originals)

 

Full Birth Certificates (originals)

 

 An affidavit (Declaration under oath) stating that the person concerned (an affidavit is accepted if the declaration is given during the month prior the date of its first submission) has not contracted any other marriage or civil union currently in force is not aware of any legal impediment or obstacle to contraction a civil union has secure all necessary consents required or that no such consent is required. The above affidavit to be when you come in Cyprus. You must to go with your partner to the Paphos District Court.

A duly certified original of a Non-Impediment Certificate or any other duly certified original equivalent certificate issued by the competent authorities of the country of origin of each person wishing to contract a Civil Union. (a non- impediment certificate is accepted if the date of issue is within the three months’ period prior the date of its submission)

In case of divorce of a previous marriage, including a religious marriage widowhood, or dissolve of a Civil Union, a respective duly translate and certified written evidence.

Non-Cypriot tourists residing on the basis of a short-term touristic visa, should submit a Non-Impediment Certificate only from the country of their citizenship

General Guidelines: VERY IMPORTANT

The public documents issued by other states authorities, should be duly translated from the post and Information Office (P.I.O) of Cyprus in Greek or English and should be duly certified, either with an APOSTILLE seal for countries – member states of the Convention of the Hague’s of 1961, or with a seal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Country of origin of the document and the consular service of Cyprus in that country.

In case of the non-member country of the Apostille Convention, and if no consular authority of Cyprus is established in that country, documents shall be certified with A seal from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of country of origin, a seal from the consular service of that country accredited in the Republic of Cyprus and a seal the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, or from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of country of origin and a seal from the closest consular service in that country of a different country also accredited in the Republic of Cyprus.

Afterwards, the Form of Civil Union is signed by two witnesses who a) completed 18 years of age and b) they are of sound mind.  The witnesses shall present their passport of ID card or any other valid personal document that can be used as an identification document for personal details and age.

​

The fees to contract a Civil Union is 90 Euro.
